DRAFT FOR ATTORNEY REVIEW — not yet in force
Terms of use
Working draft — last updated June 2026.
1. What you're using
Recourse for Business (working name) is an automated document-reading tool. It produces plain-language analyses of business documents and, for a flat fee, editable action artifacts (letters, checklists, memos). It is operated by [ENTITY NAME — set before launch].
2. Not legal advice — no attorney-client relationship
We are not a law firm, and nothing here is legal, tax, insurance, or financial advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by using the tool. Analyses are automated information about your document, can be incomplete or wrong, and are not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional who knows your facts and your state. Artifacts are drafts you adopt, edit, and send under your own name and your own judgment.
3. Your responsibilities
- Only analyze documents you have the right to share with a reading tool.
- Verify every citation, date, and figure against your document before acting.
- Don't use the service to violate law or anyone's rights, or to probe/abuse the system.
- Deadlines are your responsibility — calendar exports are a convenience, not a guarantee.
4. Payments
Paid tiers are flat, one-time fees per matter, processed by Stripe, unlocking artifact generation for 30 days. If an analysis or artifact fails to generate after payment, contact us and we'll fix it or refund it. [ATTORNEY: refund policy final form.]
5. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the matter giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. [ATTORNEY: conform to state-law limits on disclaimers; note the irony of this clause appearing in a tool that flags clauses like it — ours is capped at what you actually paid, theirs usually isn't.]
6. The boring rest
We may update these terms (changes posted here with a new date, never retroactive to a paid matter). Governing law and venue: [ATTORNEY: complete]. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
